Making a Difference

Hi guys. This week was nothing extraordinary. But it was just so enjoyable! I've never loved the work more than I do right now! It's just super great(: I just wanna tell you guys a story but before I tell you that story I'm going to tell you another story, a back story. Okay so you guys remember almost one year ago when I got transferred from my first area Sagay? Yeah I remember too, I was so sad! It is my home of the mission. Everything I knew! I prayed like all the time that I would get the chance to go back to Sagay because I've always felt like I never did a good enough job when I was there. I really wanted to go back and make a real difference. I never felt like I made a difference in that area you know? But guess what guys? I got a letter this week(: from Sunshine Pasilan, Sagay first ward(: One of mine and Sister Cruz's baptisms in Sagay. And now I'm gonna tell you guys a little bit of what she wrote to me(: its cute and it made my day(:

"I was a tough investigator, I wasn't actually believing in the two of you at first, but as you kept teaching me my beliefs changed. I realized that all the things that you've been teaching me were right and true. And I couldn't be more grateful to be converted to the truthfulness of the gospel! Thank you sister! You are a part of my changes, because of your patience to wait until I understood it myself and for your help to understand me more, my lost soul is saved!" (Yes, l italicized that part cause it was the answer to all my prayers)

Isn't that the nicest thing? It brought so much peace to me to know that even if Shine was the only person I was able to influence, that I actually did make a difference(: So that was the story. Where I'm going with this story is: you make a difference! Never think that you aren't good enough! Those thoughts are bad, bad thoughts!! We make a difference in everything we do. We may never realize the difference we've made or it may be one year latter but if we do as we should it will make a difference(: I love being a missionary so much! It is the best work in the world, the gospel is so true! The Book of Mormon is blue and Joseph is the Smith!! Stay fresh!! kbye.

Sister Schimbeck

We went to The Ruins last pday with the Elders! I was so excited to finally go because its the first thing I saw when I searched Bacolod! It was a really cool place. It was a big mansion that they burned during war so the Japanize people couldn't take it over and use it and stuff.

So they had this machine that would squeeze the juice out of sugar cane!
It was the most delicious and sweet juice ever(:

Transfer Day?

Transfer day! We didn't get a transfer call(: Sister Guanzon is going to kill me!! We're excited! So yeah this week was a good week and a sad week kinda. For three days Sister Guanzon was sick. So that was the sad part. But the good part is every other thing that happened(: Our meetings were so great this week! I love MLC. Its my favorite being with lots of missionaries at meetings cause the spirit is just so strong, unlike anything I've felt.
-Bacolod North Zone!! I love this zone haha
Then our at our zone training me and Sister Pomee trained about The Good Shepherd you know the story from John 10. Its my favorite. Like it helps us to really understand how much He really does love us. He was willing to lay down His life for His sheep. I think thats the part that just gets me every time. He literally gave his life for us, no man could kill Him but He laid it down for us. He wears his love on His palms.

Story Time!! Okay so this week we got a referral from our zone leaders to go find Katrina cause she listened to them and she really wants missionaries to visit her.
-The most guapa and guapo ZLs and STLs of Bacolod mission.
But we didn't make it any priority to go find her cause we've received those kinds of texts before "they're so golden!" "they're so interested, baptize them!" but then you go out to find them with a hopefully heart you just to find that they actually aren't 'golden' or 'interested' they just hide. But we were punted one day so were like okay lets go find Katrina. But guys this time it was so different! She didn't hide!! She let us into her house and she was so happy! She's been waiting for missionaries to come to her house for three years! She has read the Book of Mormon and is just so prepared!! Heavenly Father is aware of us. He loves us so much! I love being a missionary guys! Its the most joyful work in the world! Yup. Bye stay fresh!!

"Joseph do you have a bathroom?"

So I opened up my parents email this morning to pictures of seven inches of snow. I repented for every time I complained of it being so hot here. So yeah you guys take care there and I'll enjoy the heat and humidity of the Philippines(: This week was just like a super normal week. I don't feel like I have anything to tell you guys, maybe just some memorable experiences I had this week!
I just really love walking up to the Pabora house
cause of this sketchy bridge, its exhilarating.

So me and Sister Guanzon went on splits this week! And me and my kaupod went to an area that is pretty far away and pretty poor. And I had to go pee so bad like I was gonna pee my pants guys I swear (I think my bladder is weakening from always holding my pee) so we go to a members house, Joseph (he just got home from his mission so keep in mind he knows foreigners and stuff) and I was like "Joseph do you have a bathroom?" (you have to ask cause sometimes they don't have a bathroom) and he was like "well, kinda..." and I was just like what does that even mean kinda? So then I was just like "its okay, bisan ano, I've just gotta pee."
This is Divine and we like to take pictures!
So I enter the 'bathroom' and its a bamboo porch over looking the river and high way in the distance and then the 'toilet' is a bucket. Yes you read that right, a bucket, a blue, little bucket! I was just like okay I'm already here so lets go! And when I was done and came back out they couldn't stop laughing! I guess its not normal for foreigners, they'll usually just be like its okay I can hold it. So yeah even sixteen months in the Philippines and I still have new experiences(: It was a blast. Sister Guanzon and I have been talking in English at the apartment cause she wants to be fluent, so I was like okay I'm down but guys I may be able to type to you in English but when I try to speak it, its hard. She's asked this week about meanings of words and expressions in English like what does "once upon a time" mean? And when to use understand and understood? What does dangit mean? English is really hard guys, I don't know how to explain our language. I just say its okay sister just follow the spirit. ahaha(:

We had Stake Conference this week and Elder Pangan of the seventy spoke to us! He was so funny and spiritual! I really loved his fable about the pig and the chicken. Okay so there was a man and he was really hungry, like he was going to die of hunger. So the chicken is like "pig lets cook him a really nice breakfast! A big big breakfast so he won't starve!" And pig was like "yeah lets help him!" And chicken was like "okay so we'll cook him eggs and ham!"......Let that sink in EGGS and HAM.
Faith and Ronwell came to visit me again!
They brought me brownies too. I love them so much!!
The pig was like okay so this is just a half commitment from you chicken but it will be a total commitment from me. The moral I got from this fable is we can't be just half committed to our missions, or guess if we aren't missionaries, we can't be half committed to the gospel. We have to be totally committed. We've got to be pigs!! I know when we commit ourselves to Heavenly Father, He will bless us. We may not see it instantly but the blessings will be eternal! I love being a missionary so much and I love the gospel, its so true!! yup. Stay Fresh!!

Sister Lorde, Taylor Swift, Schimbeck

So we bought comfy sweats last pday and then I showed her my yoga moves I learned from drill team and she thought it was so cool!! So we took pictures(: I love Sister Guanzon so much!

Happy Birthday Donesa! She is so funny(:

Happy Birthday Kian!! He is so cute(:
